DIPERBUAT oleh Parlimen Malaysia seperti yang berikut:
Tajuk ringkas
1. Akta ini bolehlah dinamakan Akta Perlembagaan (Pindaan) (No. 2) 2001. Pindaan Perkara 6 2. Perlembagaan Persekutuan dipinda dalam Perkara 6 dengan menggantikan Fasal (3) dengan Fasal yang berikut: "(3) Kerja atau khidmat yang dikehendaki daripada mana-mana orang sebagai akibat daripada sesuatu sabitan atau dapatan bahawa dia bersalah di mahkamah tidaklah dikira sebagai kerja paksa mengikut pengertian Perkara ini, dengan syarat kerja atau khidmat itu dijalankan di bawah pengawasan dan kawalan suatu pihak berkuasa awam.". Perlembagaan (Pindaan) (No. 2) 5 (iii) dengan memasukkan selepas perenggan (b) perenggan yang berikut: "(c) didaftarkan, di bawah peruntukan mana-mana undang-undang yang berhubungan dengan pilihan raya, dalam daftar pemilih sebagai pemilih dalam bahagian pilihan raya tempat dia bermastautin pada tarikh kelayakan,"; dan (b) dengan menggantikan Fasal (4) dengan Fasal yang berikut: "(4) Dalam Perkara ini— (a) "pengundi tidak hadir" ertinya, berhubung dengan mana-mana bahagian pilihan raya, mana-mana warganegara yang berdaftar sebagai pengundi tidak hadir berkenaan dengan bahagian pilihan raya itu; (b) "tarikh kelayakan" ertinya tarikh seseorang memohon supaya didaftarkan sebagai pemilih dalam sesuatu bahagian pilihan raya, atau tarikh dia memohon untuk menukar pendaftarannya sebagai pemilih dalam suatu bahagian pilihan raya yang lain, mengikut peruntukan mana-mana undang-undang yang berhubungan dengan pilihan raya.". Pindaan Perkara 137 10. (1) Perkara 137 Perlembagaan Persekutuan dipinda dalam perenggan (c) Fasal (3) dengan menggantikan perkataan "Ketua Turus Angkatan Tentera" dengan perkataan "Panglima Angkatan Tentera". (2) Apabila subseksyen (1) mula berkuat kuasa, tiap-tiap sebutan tentang "Ketua Turus Angkatan Tentera" dalam semua undang-undang bertulis hendaklah ditafsirkan sebagai sebutan tentang "Panglima Angkatan Tentera".
6 Undang-Undang Malaysia AKTA A1130 (3) Apa-apa tindakan yang diambil oleh, atas nama atau terhadap "Panglima Angkatan Tentera" sebelum subseksyen (1) mula berkuat kuasa hendaklah disifatkan telah diambil dengan sah dan menurut undang-undang jika tindakan itu boleh diambil dengan sah dan menurut undang-undang oleh, atas nama atau terhadap Ketua Turus Angkatan Tentera.
Perkara baru 160A 11. (1) Bahagian XII Perlembagaan Persekutuan dipinda dengan memasukkan selepas Perkara 160 Perkara yang berikut: "Cetakan semula Perlembagaan. 160A. Pihak berkuasa yang dilantik di bawah undang-undang persekutuan bagi maksud menyemak undang-undang boleh, dengan persetujuan Yang di-Pertuan Agong, membenarkan pencetakan salinan Perlembagaan ini, termasuk segala pindaan yang berkuat kuasa pada tarikh kebenaran itu; dan mana-mana salinan Perlembagaan ini yang dicetak sedemikian hendaklah disifatkan bagi segala maksud sebagai salinan yang benar dan betul bagi Perlembagaan Persekutuan.". (2) Apa-apa salinan sesuatu cetakan semula Perlembagaan Persekutuan di bawah Akta Penyemakan Undang-Undang 1968 [ Akta 1 ] yang disifatkan sebagai teks sahih Perlembagaan Persekutuan di bawah Akta itu hendaklah terus menjadi teks sahih sedemikian sehingga wujud salinan Perlembagaan Persekutuan yang dicetak di bawah Perkara 160A sebagaimana yang dimasukkan ke dalam Perlembagaan Persekutuan melalui subseksyen (1). Perkara baru 160B 12. Perlembagaan Persekutuan dipinda dengan memasukkan selepas Perkara 160A Perkara yang berikut:
"Teks sahih. 160B. Jika Perlembagaan ini telah diterjemahkan ke dalam bahasa kebangsaan, Yang di-Pertuan Agong boleh menetapkan teks bahasa kebangsaan itu sebagai teks sahih, dan selepas itu, jika ada percanggahan atau perselisihan antara teks bahasa kebangsaan itu dengan teks bahasa Inggeris Perlembagaan ini, teks bahasa kebangsaan itu hendaklah mengatasi teks bahasa Inggeris itu.".
Perlembagaan (Pindaan) (No. 2) 7 Pindaan Jadual Ketujuh 13. Jadual Ketujuh kepada Perlembagaan Persekutuan dipinda— (a) dengan memotong tajuk " Pemilihan dan Persaraan Ahli-Ahli Dewan Negara " dan "BAHAGIAN I"; (b) dengan menggantikan tajuk "PEMILIHAN AHLI-AHLI DEWAN NEGARA" dengan tajuk " Pemilihan Ahli-Ahli Dewan Negara "; dan (c) dengan memotong Bahagian II. Pindaan Jadual Kesebelas 14. Jadual Kesebelas kepada Perlembagaan Persekutuan dipinda dengan memotong nombor seksyen "46" dan semua perkataan yang berhubungan dengan seksyen itu.

Act A1130 CONSTITUTION (AMENDMENT) (NO. 2) ACT 2001 An Act to amend the Federal Constitution. [ ] ENACTED by the Parliament of Malaysia as follows:
Short title
1. This Act may be cited as the Constitution (Amendment) (No. 2) Act 2001. Amendment of Article 6 2. The Federal Constitution is amended in Article 6 by substituting for Clause (3) the following Clause: "(3) Work or service required from any person as a consequence of a conviction or a finding of guilt in a court of law shall not be taken to be forced labour within the meaning of this Article, provided that such work or service is carried out under the supervision and control of a public authority.". Amendment of Article 8 3. The Federal Constitution is amended in Article 8 in Clause (2) by substituting for the words "descent or place of birth" the words "descent, place of birth or gender".

4. Article 45 of the Federal Constitution is amended in Clause (3) by deleting the words ", subject to the provisions of the Seventh Schedule,". Amendment of Article 56 5. Article 56 of the Federal Constitution is amended in Clauses (5) and (6) by inserting after the word "President" wherever it appears the words "or Deputy President". Amendment of Article 57 6. Article 57 of the Federal Constitution is amended in Clauses (5) and (6) by inserting after the word "Speaker" wherever it appears the words "or a Deputy Speaker". Amendment of Article 65 7. Article 65 of the Federal Constitution is amended in Clause (2) by substituting for the words "the age of fifty-five years" the words "the age of compulsory retirement for members of the general public service". Amendment of Article 114 8. Article 114 of the Federal Constitution is amended in Clause (1) by substituting for the word "three" the word "five". Amendment of Article 119 9. Article 119 of the Federal Constitution is amended— (a) in Clause (1)— (i) by deleting the word "and" at the end of paragraph (a) ; (ii) by substituting for the comma at the end of paragraph (b) the words "; and"; and
Constitution (Amendment) (No. 2) 5 (iii) by inserting after paragraph (b) the following paragraph: "(c) is, under the provisions of any law relating to elections, registered in the electoral roll as an elector in the constituency in which he resides on the qualifying date,"; and (b) by substituting for Clause (4) the following Clause:
"(4) In this Article— (a) "absent voter" means, in relation to any constituency, any citizen who is registered as an absent voter in respect of that constituency; (b) "qualifying date" means the date on which a person applies for registration as an elector in a constituency, or the date on which he applies for the change of his registration as an elector in a different constituency, in accordance with the provisions of any law relating to elections.".
Amendment of Article 137 10. (1) Article 137 of the Federal Constitution is amended in paragraph (c) of Clause (3) by substituting for the words "Chief of the Armed Forces Staff" the words "Chief of Defence Forces". (2) Upon the coming into operation of subsection (1), every reference to the "Chief of the Armed Forces Staff" in all written laws shall be construed as a reference to the "Chief of Defence Forces". (3) Any action taken by, in the name of or against the "Chief of Defence Forces" prior to the coming into operation of subsection (1) shall be deemed to have been validly and lawfully taken if the action could have been validly and lawfully taken by, in the name of or against the Chief of the Armed Forces Staff.
6 Laws of Malaysia ACT A1130 New Article 160A 11. (1) Part XII of the Federal Constitution is amended by inserting after Article 160 the following Article: "Reprint of the Constitution. 160A. The authority appointed under federal law for the purpose of revising laws may, with consent of the Yang di-Pertuan Agong, authorize the printing of copies of this Constitution, including all amendments in force at the date of such authorization; and any copy of this Constitution so printed shall be deemed for all purposes to be a true and correct copy of the Federal Constitution.". (2) Any copy of a reprint of the Federal Constitution under the Revision of Laws Act 1968 [ Act 1 ] which is deemed to be the authentic text of the Federal Constitution under that Act shall continue to be such authentic text until the coming into existence of copies of the Federal Constitution printed under Article 160A as inserted into the Federal Constitution by subsection (1). New Article 160B
12. The Federal Constitution is amended by inserting after Article 160A the following Article: "Authoritative text. 160B. Where this Constitution has been translated into the national language, the Yang di-Pertuan Agong may prescribe such national language text to be authoritative, and thereafter if there is any conflict or discrepancy between such national language text and the English language text of this Constitution, the national language text shall prevail over the English language text.".
Amendment of Seventh Schedule 13. The Seventh Schedule to the Federal Constitution is amended—
( a ) by deleting the headings " Election and Retirement of Senators " and "PART I";
Constitution (Amendment) (No. 2) 7 (b) by substituting for the heading "ELECTION OF SENATORS" the heading "Election of Senators"; and (c) by deleting Part II. Amendment of Eleventh Schedule 14. The Eleventh Schedule to the Federal Constitution is amended by deleting the section number "46" and all words relating to that section.
